Return Policy for Gem'telier Custom Handmade Jewellery

At Gem'telier, all jewellery is handmade to order and created according to the customer's specifications and/or clearly personalized.
Because of this custom-made nature, our return policy is limited to what is required under applicable Dutch and European consumer law. This summary reflects our Terms and Conditions and should be read together with them.
1. No Return for Change of Mind
As our products are custom handmade jewellery made to your specifications and/or clearly personalized, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply, to the extent permitted by law.
This means that once your order has been accepted and production has started, you cannot cancel, return, or exchange the item simply because you changed your mind.
2. Defects, Damage, or Incorrect Items
If your jewellery arrives damaged, faulty, or materially different from the confirmed order, please contact us as soon as possible at info@gemtelier.com.
Please include your order number, a short description of the issue, and clear photos where possible. We will assess the matter and, where legally required, offer an appropriate remedy such as repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund.
Minor differences that are inherent to handmade production, such as slight variations in finish, texture, gemstone pattern, or engraving placement, do not in themselves qualify as defects.
3. Personalization Responsibility
Please review all customization details carefully before placing your order, including the selected size, gem choice, thread choice, and any other submitted specifications.
If an error in the finished product results from information submitted or approved by you, the item will not qualify for return or refund on that basis. If the production error was made by Gem'telier, we will review and address it in accordance with your statutory rights.
4. Production Time and Cancellation Requests
As each piece is handmade to order, total production and shipping may take approximately up to 6 weeks from order confirmation, unless a different timeframe is stated for a specific product.
If you wish to request a cancellation before production starts, you may contact us at info@gemtelier.com. Gem'telier may consider such a request at its sole discretion, but is under no obligation to accept it.
